A resource consent application is underway for Newcombe Road Sand, a proposed new sand quarry at 77 Newcombe Road, Cambridge.  It was lodged by RS Sand which is 100% owned by vastly experienced quarry operator Stevenson and who operate as a division of leading civil engineering and resources company Fulton Hogan.  For more information on the resource consent application see here.

When operating at full capacity the quarry will employ up to 10 team members and a wide range of contractors to produce up to 400,000 tonnes per year to help meet the wider region’s high demand for quality concrete sand and other sand products over the next 25 years.

We have identified a 4-hectare area for wet processing and 27 hectares to be quarried under a staged approach with each stage restored to its original use on completion of quarrying in that area.
